Clarissa Frances Epping
Clarissa Frances Epping age 92 of Florence passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Visitation will be at the St. Michaels Catholic Church from 11:00 A.M. till 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016. Rosary will be at 11:30 A.M. with funeral mass at 12:00 noon with Father John O’Donnell. Burial will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her husband Louis Cletus. Her parents Leo and Magdelena Mecke, sisters Agnes and Mary. Brothers Leo, John and Harold. And a grandchild, Gray Chandler.
She is survived by her children; Donna Albright (Richard), Louis Epping, Cynthia Johnson (Alan), Kay Tomlin (David) and Mary Chandler. And her sister, Sister Mary Grace Mecke.
Clarissa’s greatest joy came from her grandchildren. Ricky Albright (Shera), Alisha Ergle (Jim), Jason Albright, Christina Sherer (Channing), Kristen Epping, Brittany Epping, Frances Bradley (Darrell), Melissa Specker (Tim Lynch), Sarah Tomlin, Graham Tomlin (Jessica), Corey Tomlin and Ross Chandler.
Clarissa’s face really lit up when great-grandchildren came to visit. Katelyn and Lillian Ergle, Wiley, Eli, Sophia, and Nyla Bradley, Marli and Kenadi Magee. Camberly, Audrina and Presley Tomlin, and Allie Tomlin. You all have a special angel watching over you.
Clarissa was a retired surgery nurse from ECM. She was a faithful member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
Her joy came from a variety of activities. She loved watching her birds outside her window. She loved Braves baseball and Auburn and Notre Dame football. She spent most of her time lately doing her word puzzles.
The family would like to express a very special thanks to Dr. Lyman Mitchell, Pam Hill and their office staff. Thanks to special friends Shelia Osborn and Mildred Phillips. To Loaves and Fishes for their weekly gifts. Thanks so much to care givers Marcie Daniel and Ashley Davidson. You were both a blessing to us.
