Ruby Mae Smallwood, 91, of Florence died Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at Florence Nursing and Rehab.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 4, 2017, 12-1 PM at Elkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM in the Chapel with Bro. Charles Abernathy officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Smallwood was a graduate of Coffee High School, Class of 1944. She was active with Cheer Club (for disabled) Florence and Adult Cerebral Palsy of the Shoals. She was baptized at Jackson Heights Church of Christ, attended East Florence, Underwood Heights, Helton Drive, and Chisholm Hills Church’s of Christ.

Mrs. Smallwood was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Smallwood; parents, Robert Calvin and Mary Louise Meadows Capley; brother, George R. Capley.

Mrs. Smallwood is survived by her son, Robert Earl Smallwood; daughters, Carolyn Susie Moses (Danny) and Rebecca Smallwood Stanky; grandchildren, Jeremy Moses (Lauren) and Kim Moses Gray (LD); great-grandchildren, Braxton Moses, Kaylee Durham, Gracie Gray, and Ruby Kate Moses; sister, Alice Stutts Caudill; brother, Donnie Capley; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be LD Gray, Tim Henslee, Braxton Moses, John Holland, Mickey Stutts, and Johnny Capley.
