Jerry K. Lawson died Friday, November 17, 2017, at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation in Madison, Alabama.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017, from 12-2 PM at Elkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel, with Keith Lawson officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Lawson worked at Reynolds Metals for 40 plus years. He was president of the Machinists Local. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.

Mr. Lawson was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Lawson.

Mr. Lawson is survived by his son, Keith Lawson (Janet); daughter, Wendy Troutt (Bill); brother, Bob Lawson (Faye); sisters, Doris Chandler and Gloria Russell (Jim); four grandchildren, Ashleigh Lister, Kayla Van Buren, Tanner Troutt, and Taylor Troutt.

Pallbearers will be Tanner Troutt, Brad Lister, Zach Van Buren, Dennis Burgess, Michael Russell, and Kenneth Bailey. Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Gamble.
