Obituary for Christine Leona Jackson (Norris)

Christine Leona Norris Jackson, 85, of Florence, Alabama, formerly of Canton, N.C., was born on September 12, 1932, and passed away December 27, 2017.

Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clyde, North Carolina with Crawford Ray Funeral Home in Canton, North Carolina directing.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Newell Jackson; parents, John and Hermie Sanford Norris, her sisters, Barbara Hendrix, Maxine Norris, and her brother, John Wayne Norris.

She was a member of Highland Baptist Church where she worked for over 30 years in the nursery.

She is survived by her sons, Roger Jackson, of Pensacola, Florida, and Dean Jackson (Patricia) of Florence, Alabama; daughters, Sharon Ayala (Mike) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Sandra Hollis (Lee) of Florence, Alabama; sisters, Shirley Jackson of South Carolina, Peggy Zimmerman and Carole Saltzman both of Florida; nine grandchildren, Kelly Jackson (Melissa), Heather Jackson Ondra (Tomas), Brian Ayala (Lindsey), Amanda Jackson Taylor (Kent), Stefanie Ayala Henry (Kelly), William Jackson (Kelly Anne), Ashley Hollis Everett (Evan), Matthew Jackson, and Brandon Hollis; ten great-grandchildren, Lauren Jaworski, Lucie Ondra, Ali Jackson, Libi Henry, Levi Henry, Ellie Jackson, Anne Cagle Taylor, Adeline Taylor, Juliet Jackson, and Imogen Jackson.
