Obituary for John Richfield Graves III

John Richfield Graves III, 78, of Killen, passed away April 15, 2017 at his home.

The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Rogersville United Methodist Church, followed by the 11 a.m. service officiated by Pastor Robert Lancaster.

Mr. Graves served seven years in the military and then moved to California to be a claims adjuster. He also worked as a private investigator before retiring from TVA as a security manager. He was a faithful member of Rogersville United Methodist Church and Killen Lodge #788 of the Free & Accepted Masons, where he formerly served as Grand Master.

Mr. Graves was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Frances Graves. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean; a son, Thomas Wayne Olive (Susan) of Florida; a sister, Toni Hill of California; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; a niece, Michelle Ash; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Special thanks to Jamie White of the Cancer Center in Florence for being so kind. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mr. Graves' name to your local humane society.
