Condolence: I would like to extend my sympathy to the family of Mary Abramson. I remember her over the years as a very nice and friendly lady. I knew her and her family as a child and adult and know that she will be missed by all. God be with all of you at this time.

Condolence: I did not know my Aunt Mary passed away until today--and here's the very strange thing--earlier today before I found out from my brother John that she had passed away, I thought of her--and suddenly worried about her health. I'm not superstitious or even religious--but it was a remarkable coincidence that I thought of her on the day of her funeral, not knowing it was that day.

Aunt Mary was my favorite aunt. She was there for my Mom (her sister Ella Mae) and Dad when they were disabled by an accident in the 70s, and gave me great emotional support. Mom and I visited her many times in later years, and she inspired me (with her daughter Joan) to continue running, which I still do.

Mary had a terrific spirit that inspires me to this very day. Obviously so, since she inspired me to think of her on what turned out to be an important day that must be at once very sad but also celebratory for a person who touched so very many with her deep passion for life.

I'll miss you Aunt Mary, but I'll try to carry forward your optimism and grounding good nature that my Mom and I loved.
