Obituary for
Juanita Jean Rhodes (Norris)
Juanita Jean Norris Rhodes of Florence, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018. Visitation will be held at Elkins Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. Services will follow in Elkins Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Brother Andy Fogle officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband James W. “Billy” Rhodes, brother Tim Norris and her parents Relford Norris and Beulah Burke.
Juanita is survived by two daughters: Vickey R. Edwards (Blake) of Florence, Al and Jeanette R. Anderson (Paul) of Ardmore, AL. Three grandchildren: Jeff Edwards (Jennifer) of Florence, AL, Laura E. Holland (Lee) of Mobile, AL and Will Edwards (fiance Alexandra) Montgomery, AL. Great-Grandchildren: Payton, Hannah and Madeline Edwards of Florence, AL. Brothers: James R. Norris Jr. of Port Charlotte, FL, and Ray Norris (Theda) of Haleyville, AL. Sister-in-Law Peggy Norris of Arley, AL.
She was a Member of Parkway Methodist Church and she loved and enjoyed very much spending time with all her special “Sewing Club” friends.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Lyman Mitchell, Hospice of Tennessee Valley, especially nurses Sandra, Jennifer and Sue, and The Summit staff at Mitchell-Hollingsworth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Room in the Inn or St Jude.
