Robert Dennis "Sleepy"  Brewer
Robert “Sleepy” Brewer ,53, of Florence passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at ECM hospital. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Elkins Funeral Home from 4:30- 8:00 P.M. A service will be held in the chapel Wednesday January 10, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Perce Brewer SR. and Mary Brewer, and James and Audrey York.

He is Survived by his parents, Raymond and Nadine Brewer; sister Melissa Penkova (Scott); nephews, Ryan Biggers, Scott Penkova Jr.(Amanda), and Michael Penkova; grandnephew, Scott Penkova III; girl friend, Lisa Rice and her daughter Katie Rice; and his beloved dog Nipper.

Mr. Brewer fell in love with racing at the young age of 4.It remained his passion, He graduated from trade school in sheet metal and welding fabrication. He has many cars in the Dirt Late Model hall of fame that he built. He had an extensive collections of pictures and memorablia that he collected through out his years of working on cars for various drivers.

Pallbearers will be friends.

In Lieu of Flowers the family request donations be made to the Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame or Victory Junction in his name.
